Hello, Brasil!!

Being back home is so good. I'm so much more Brasilian than I am American and it feels so great to be back in Brasil. I missed it more than I thought I did.

My trip went really well - no problems or anything at all. The only thing that I didn't remember about Brasil is crazy driving is!! After learning to drive in Memphis, São Paulo is absolutely insane!

Friday was a good day - I got to SP, went home and had a pãozinho for lunch with guaraná (SO GOOD!) and then just hung out all day and ordered pizza de frango com catupiry and portuguesa for dinner. I was trying really, really, really hard to stay awake to see Leticia when she came home, but I kept falling asleep because I hardly slept Wednesday night or Thursday on the plan. At about 8:30 my mom told me to put my jeans back on because there was some sort of emergency at the ZOE frat house and we needed to hurry over. When I got there, however, my friends surprised me with a welcome back party! It was awesome. I finally got to see all of my best friends from SP. It was so fantastic - dancing, Brasilian food, friends... mmm... it was wonderful!! I left early, though, because I was falling asleep haha.

Saturday I went to the favela and it was cool. I'm going to be taking over Courtney's job at the favela because he is leaving so it was nice to see what they are doing and start thinking about how to improve what we're doing there. Saturday night was ZOE!!! God really moved in the hearts of ZOE people... big huge fantastic things are coming and I am so, so, so grateful that God brought me back to be a part of all of it!! ZOE is just great. I really can't thank God enough for ZOE.

Sunday was date day with ThiThi!!! We went to São duBão for lunch and had some delicious rice, beans, chicken, fried bananas, and french fries. Then we went over to his house to hang out with his family for a little bit and then we watched The Emperor's Club.

Today I've been chillin with Michael and organizing my room.

So, yeah... That's been my life for the past few days. I just wanted to let the gringos know that I am here and I'm loving being home, but I miss you guys a lot!!!
