Meet John Kwak, one of my best friends at LU.

John is an inspiration to me.
I first met John during the first week of school last semester. John was shy and sitting all by himself so we decided to ask him to join us. Ever since then, he's been one of my best friends. But back then, John was just a boy. Now I really see him as a man.
The thing about John is that he's always following God's heart. He's constantly learning and finding out who he is in Christ and what that means in his life. John doesn't really care what people think. For example, he changed his major to worship even though he had a lot of opposition. He's really involved in everything - korean church, volleyball, worship. He does what he wants to do and isn't ashamed of who he is - he even puts weird fruit in his nasty yogurt... but he doesn't care. He is what he is and if you don't like it, get over it.
John is a servant. I know that if I ever need anything I can count on John for it. He's taught me a lot about friendship and what it means to go out of your way for someone and make them feel like they're worth everything to you. John lives out Proverbs 18:24 which says, "Friends come and friends go, but a true friends sticks by you like family."

Today I took John to an audition at Brentwood Church and he did an amazing job. John's not scared of following his dreams and isn't afraid to screw up to get to where he needs to go. He's been through a lot, but everything that he's been through has made him such an incredible man.
I'm proud to call John my friend. I respect this punk.
