323. Miriam's House

Yesterday I went to Miriam's House with the girls from my church. I described Miriam's House in a previous post, but if you did not get the opportunity to read it, Miriam's House is a place to help homeless women get back on their feet. They live there, some have kids, and they work and learn and have classes about how to manage their lives and such. It's really, really awesome.

Yesterday we went to the house. 5 of the girls stayed with the women and gave them manicures and pedicures. 2 of us stayed with the kids. It was awesome. Everyone walked away feeling really blessed. It was great to be able to serve the women and the kids. They live really hard lives and it was so nice just to be able to get them away from reality for even an hour. They got to be pampered and be away from their kids for a little while.

Miriam's House is so cool - it is definitely something God has brought to my life for a reason. It is just a really nice house type thing with food, and a playground, and rooms for the ladies. It's just really awesome.

Yesterday was just so amazing. I'm sorry I don't have pictures, but... yeah. I just don't. Thanks for your prayers. We are for sure going back soon. I want to really pour myself out in Miriam's House during this last half of the semester.
